The Eaton ATS series is designed to offer redundant power supplies for equipment with a single connection. With an ATS, IT equipment that has only one input power supply can get power from two distinct sources.

Dual electrical power supplies are a feature of only the most sophisticated servers. Most network devices and entry-level servers have a single connection and a single power input. Critical equipment can be connected to a redundant power supply using an Eaton ATS. Both sources (main and secondary) are connected to the ATS at the rack’s base in a straightforward manner. The Eaton ATS then regulates this electrical power supply’s redundancy. Transfer to the secondary source is automatic and instantaneous if the original source fails.
